But at one point Alfred Grifter started showing up to some of their shows (he is said to preform with a band sometimes). But instead of freaking out about the 'hey we might be killing people with our music' thing they just keep performing.

Over the years they all become slaughter affiliated, not full on avatars but its still in them. So when Jon finally starts working at the Magnus Institute he still is with the eye but he has a slightly diffrent solution to problems, he doesnt just document everything. Ashes/Basira doesnt even notice how she leans into it more as she becomes a cop. Tim/Jordan it only helps with his job with pest control, what is it but the slaughter of pests anyway. Toy soldier/Nikola doesnt even notice it much, there was so much violence in the circus already

I saw your cybertronian ecologists post and as a biology major it hit me hard because there must have been cybertronian biologists or who maybe specialized in the study of a particular fauna or flora or lobbied for the conservation for the preservation of endangered species or dreamt of discovering new species who then had to watch it be destroyed by a war, who might have joined the fight and after an intense battle they are helping recovering the dead or injured or are stuck in trenches just to realize that this location was home to a species they always wished to see now turned to ash and smoke and the world of tfone had cybertronian deer do you think they find comfort in the animals and plants of earth because the ones back home are dead but in planet and maybe on others too there echoes of those species roaming about and so in way they have never died

Time doesn't really... work on the Aurora. Every event sort of weaves in and out of continuity. Sometimes the Doc's already fallen out of the airlock, sometimes it's not gonna happen for forty years, and very occasionally it's the only thing that's ever happened on the ship. When each Mechanism joined the crew is usually linear, but once you're on the ship, "linear" goes out the window a bit.

Time only made sense for The Aurora once in the entire time since Jonny stole her, when the skies over Midgard opened up and the world was plunged into chaos and nothing was anything and everything and for one sick, horrible second, a minute was sixty seconds and an hour was sixty minutes and the clocks all told the same time.

And so in eight years ago Nastya does go out an airlock. But eight years ago was in the future, and for now she will always be on board, and on the Aurora, "now" can last as long as you want.

New boy just dropped.

This paper-craft mecha doesn't have a name yet, but I love his chunky bug-like face. He seems to have nothing going on in his head and the power of god in his fists.

The lore around this mech is that he is a newer model, and built to survive. He has only had a few pilots so far, and has nearly all of his original parts. Because of his high quality design, he has survived many battles that his other squad-mates did not.

Tales of his miraculous survival quickly turned into rumors of a curse. No rookie wants to serve in a squadron with a mech that always outlives their allies. Because of his 'bad luck', this mech has been un-piloted for a long time. He remains in storage, waiting for someone new to take a chance on him.

mechtober day 6: makeup.

i originally wanted to do some closeups of his eyes with brian-esque makeup, but then i got sidetracked by getting his eyes and face accurate and now i dont have time to do that properly :(
